Our Company: Foundry Roofing, Queens Roofing Contractor
Our company, Foundry Roofing, is a full-service roofing contractor working across Queens, NY. We take on all roofing work and specialize in commercial and multi-family building roofs.
We work for building owners, property managers and co-op boards, and for owners of single-family houses.
Commercial and multi-family first, houses too
Single-family homes are still on our schedule, but the focus is commercial and multi-family roofing.
Apartment, co-op and condo buildings
Flat and low-slope roofs with residents directly below.
Mixed-use and retail
Storefronts stay open, so access and debris are planned around business hours.
Office and warehouse
Large low-slope roofs where drains, seams and rooftop units set the membrane's lifespan.
Single-family homes
Asphalt shingle, repaired or replaced with the same documentation as our larger jobs.
Four roof systems and the work on each
From first inspection to full re-roofing, every stage of the roof is work we do, including installing TPO on flat and low-slope roofs.
| System | Usual building | Our work on it | Upkeep |
|---|---|---|---|
| TPO | Apartment, office, warehouse | Installation, seam and leak repair, re-roofing | Inspect spring and fall |
| EPDM | Older flat roofs, multi-family and retail | Leak repair, flashing repair, replacement | Twice a year, plus after storms |
| Modified bitumen | Mixed-use and co-op low-slope roofs | Repair, flashing repair, waterproofing, re-roofing | Once a year, cap sheet checked for cracks |
| Asphalt shingle | Single-family homes | Repair, leak repair, replacement, installation | Yearly, and after high wind |
Five steps on a building with people in it
-
Free estimate and inspection
We walk the roof and photograph membrane, flashing and drains.
-
Written proposal
The scope lists materials, areas covered and anything excluded.
-
Scheduling around tenants
Residents and storefronts get dates, hours and access notes before work starts.
-
Documented work
The owner or manager receives photos of the deck, flashing and finished seams.
-
Final walkthrough
We walk the finished roof with the owner or property manager.
What happens on the roof, and below it
Our local crew works tied off, with warning lines at roof edges and the sidewalk protected below. Each evening, debris is bagged and lowered and entrances are left clear for residents and storefronts.
Repair comes first when the membrane and deck are sound. Replacement is proposed only when the roof needs it. Long-term roof care after the job runs on scheduled inspection and maintenance.
